Along with the temporary $10,000 tax credit the B.C. Government is offering to First Time Home Buyers, The BC Government is also offering a refundable personal income tax credit to assist seniors with the cost of permanent home renovations.

HST to drop on more new homes to help the shift back to PSTBC will return to PST on April 1, 2013, which drops the 2% provincial portion of the HST on all new homes sold for $850,000 or less. Thus, the idea is that the two per cent tax rate will apply now in the form of the provincial portion of the HST on all homes under $850,000.It will then apply to homes built during HST, but sold under PST, in the form of the two per cent transitional tax.
